Abu Dhabi Customs has received two prestigious recognitions at the 2025 SHRM MENA STAR Awards, for its excellence in employing advanced technology and implementing best practices in human resources management across the Middle East and North Africa region. The authority received the Diamond Award in the HR Technology Excellence category and the Gold Award in the Learning and Development Excellence category.
The recognition from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), one of the world’s largest and most influential organizations in the HR profession, highlights Abu Dhabi Customs’ pioneering efforts in adopting innovative and sustainable human resources solutions. These include the comprehensive automation of human capital management to streamline processes, enhance the employee experience, and cultivate a positive, high-performance workplace culture that fosters creativity and excellence. The awards also recognize Abu Dhabi Customs’ commitment to developing its workforce by implementing specialized training programs powered by artificial intelligence and advanced technologies, aligned with the latest global standards.
Dr. Ebrahim AlKhajeh, Director of Human Resources Division at Abu Dhabi Customs, said that this achievement reflects Abu Dhabi Customs’ commitment to aligning its HR practices with emerging trends, future needs, and strategic priorities. He emphasized that continuous investment in human capital, innovation in service delivery, and the modernization of digital infrastructure have strengthened Abu Dhabi Customs’ position as a globally competitive organization.
