The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs participated in the Abu Dhabi Economic Delegation, which included 140 leaders from government entities, institutions, and private sector companies. Led by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development, the delegation embarked on a successful visit to the People’s Republic of China to strengthen ties and partnerships with key global economies and reinforce Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading hub for talent, business, and investment.
The Abu Dhabi Economic Delegation held a series of meetings with senior government officials, investors, and business leaders in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong. These discussions focused on exploring opportunities and establishing strategic partnerships between Abu Dhabi and China.
The visit also included the signing of several agreements aimed at enhancing cooperation between government entities and the private sector, reflecting Abu Dhabi’s commitment to building and strengthening trade partnerships.
As part of the visit’s agenda, His Excellency Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, Director General of Abu Dhabi Customs, held separate meetings with Ms. Guo Xueyan, Director General of International Cooperation at China Customs, and Mr. Chan Tsz-Tat, Commissioner of Customs and Excise in Hong Kong. Discussions centred on enhancing customs cooperation, improving cross-border trade facilitation, and streamlining customs procedures. Additionally, both sides addressed topics of mutual interest in the customs domain, emphasising the importance of advanced technology in optimising customs operations and supporting economic growth.Update On
