Abu Dhabi Customs has achieved qualitative accomplishments by receiving 14 international awards that support the economic visions of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the directives of its wise leadership that aim to elevate the UAE's position to be the best country in the world by 2071.
As part of its ongoing efforts to consolidate its global leadership among customs authorities and organizations, and achieve its strategic vision, which is based on investing in human development, stimulating innovation, and continuously enhancing and updating various customs services and fields, the General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs has achieved qualitative accomplishments by receiving 14 international awards that support the economic visions of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the directives of its wise leadership that aim to elevate the UAE's position to be the best country in the world by 2071.
Specifically, Abu Dhabi Customs won 4 awards within the categories of the prestigious Stevie International Awards of the year 2023, which recognizes and honors exceptional achievements in the business sector, for outstanding companies, institutions, and services. It received the Gold Award for “Employer of the Year - Government Organizations category”, the Gold Award for “Human Resources Department” for its Innovative Digital HR Transformation experience, and the Gold Award for “Innovation of the Year – Consumer Services Industries” for the “Invisible Customs System”, while it received the Silver Award for “Human Resources Executive” for the influencing leader.
Furthermore, Abu Dhabi Customs received three awards within the HRSE Future Workplace Awards of the year 2023, in the categories of Best Innovative HR Initiative, Best Talent Development Strategy, and Best HR Transformation and Change Management Strategy, on the sidelines of the 21st edition of the HR Summit and Expo, which was hosted by Dubai.
Additionally, Abu Dhabi Customs earned 6 prestigious awards within the Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards, where it received 2 Gold Awards for “Best Advance in Learning Technology Implementation” and “Best Unique or Innovative L&D program”. It also received 2 Silver Awards for “Best Advance in Competencies and Skill Development” and “Best Use of Games and Simulations for Learning”. Furthermore, it achieved two Bronze Awards for “Best Unique or Innovative HR Program” and “Best Advance in Creating a Learning Strategy”.
In addition, Abu Dhabi Customs received the 2nd place from the ideas UK award 2023 in the customer focus category for an effortless government services project, after making a series of improvements to the Clearance of Goods service and reducing the procedures to accomplish them according to the highest international standards since its automation during the strategic transformation journey in 2019, which contributed to facilitating the customers ' journey and enhancing their experience by reducing time and effort, and raising the customer happiness
Abu Dhabi Customs emphasized that these awards and achievements, which represent international recognition of Abu Dhabi Customs' experience, are the result of continuous efforts to achieve its strategic vision of being a World-Class Customs Authority, that drives change in order to enhance security, facilitate trade and provide distinguished services, especially by developing its customs system according to the best international practices, by adopting and developing innovative technologies including artificial intelligence, augmented reality, virtual reality, and applying comprehensive automation to manage its human capital and investing in human resources, which is positively reflected in government performance and consolidates the prestigious position occupied by the emirate globally as a major destination for investment
