The General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs organised the Partners Forum under the theme "Our Journey to Future," gathering key stakeholders to advance customs operations and strengthen strategic partnerships across government, semi-government, and private sectors. The forum showcased future initiatives that align with Abu Dhabi's economic vision while supporting the UAE's sustainable development goals.

 

In his opening remarks, Mr. Fahad Ghareeb Al Shamsi, Executive Director of the Support Services Sector at Abu Dhabi Customs, underscored the vital role of strategic partnerships in driving the organization’s global leadership ambitions. He emphasized that strong collaboration is essential for advancing development efforts, boosting competitiveness at local, regional, and international levels, and achieving impactful transformations in customs operations. H.E. Al Mansoori also commended Abu Dhabi Customs’ partners for their vital role in supporting the organization’s strategic transformation, including the enhancement of customs projects to streamline operations, the facilitation of cross-border trade through simplified procedures, the reduction of processing time for customers through more efficient services, and the advancement of digital integration and data management, all of which have contributed to establishing global customs leadership and achieving international competitiveness indicators.

During the forum, Eng. Khaled Hassan AlMarzooqi, Director of the Strategic Development and Planning Department at Abu Dhabi Customs, outlined the 2024–2028 strategic plan and objectives, detailing key initiatives, projects, and pioneering directions aligned with global best practices. These efforts aim to enhance operational efficiency by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and advanced systems to support the Smart Borders initiative, ensuring a secure and seamless trade environment.

 

The event concluded with Abu Dhabi Customs honouring its strategic partners for their pivotal role in supporting the organisation’s transformation and reinforcing its global leadership. The recognition highlighted their valuable cooperation and ongoing commitment to achieving shared national objectives.
