H.E. Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, Director General of Abu Dhabi Customs, hosted a delegation from the Republic of Rwanda, led by H.E. John Mirenge, Rwanda’s Ambassador to the UAE. The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration in customs operations and highlighting Abu Dhabi Customs’ expertise in utilising advanced technologies and modern equipment to streamline customs processes and facilitate trade across border crossings in accordance with global best practices.
Abu Dhabi Customs showcased its 2024–2028 Strategic Plan, which aligns with the strategic priorities of the Abu Dhabi government and the UAE’s forward-looking vision. The strategy aims to establish Abu Dhabi Customs as a world-class customs authority by fostering partnerships that promote secure and legitimate trade through innovative solutions and cutting-edge digital technologies.
The visit featured an in-depth tour of Abu Dhabi Customs' advanced training facilities, highlighting its steadfast dedication to personnel development. The Rwandan delegation explored state-of-the-art training laboratories equipped with cutting-edge holographic technology, virtual reality systems, and augmented reality platforms.
