Abu Dhabi Customs organised its annual forum, Elevating Together, under the theme Guided by Purpose, Motivated by Change, reflecting the organisation’s ongoing efforts to create a flexible and motivating work environment rooted in performance excellence and sustainable development. The event aims to enhance adaptability to future demands and bolster global competitiveness, in line with the strategic objectives of the Abu Dhabi Government and the 'We the UAE 2031' vision.
Held at Ferrari World Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, the forum was attended by H.E. Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED); H.E. Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori, Director General of Abu Dhabi Customs; and H.E. Fahad Ghareeb Al Shamsi, Acting Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council. The event also welcomed representatives from the Department of Government Enablement – Abu Dhabi, along with several senior officials and employees.
H.E. Ahmed Jasim Al Zaabi said: “Our investments in human capital reflect the leadership’s vision and commitment to developing the national talent, empowering them, and enhancing their contributions to sustainable development. Collaboration of entities and institutions from public and private sectors is vital to continuously develop skills and foster innovation to achieve Abu Dhabi’s strategic objectives.
H.E. Rashed Lahej Al Mansoori affirmed Abu Dhabi Customs’ commitment to embracing positive change and innovation within the customs ecosystem. He noted that this approach enhances institutional efficiency and ensures the delivery of world-class services aligned with the highest international standards. He also emphasised that human capital is the engine of innovation and sustained excellence, while artificial intelligence and advanced technologies are essential enablers of the Abu Dhabi Government’s strategic goals and the aspirations of the wise leadership.
The forum featured a series of interactive sessions addressing topics such as effective leadership strategies, inspiring creativity, and promoting a culture of positive change. It also showcased Abu Dhabi Customs’ key achievements over the past year and outlined plans for the next phase. The event concluded with a panel discussion organised by the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council.
Abu Dhabi Customs continues to strengthen its institutional leadership by delivering exceptional results across various domains. In 2025, the organisation received 58 awards in recognition of its excellence and innovation. It attained the “Excellence” level in the 2024 Institutional Maturity of Customer Experience assessment, ranking among 43 Abu Dhabi Government entities, and achieved an impressive 96% customer satisfaction rate for its digital services.
